About LexPerks

The buying power of legal professionals

Advocates, chambers, firms and law libraries buy the same commentaries, the same digests and the same bare acts, from the same publishers, at whatever price they are quoted individually.

LexPerks exists to change the second half of that sentence.

What we do

We find out what the profession actually wants — by letting people follow titles for free — and we take that demand to publishers and distributors as a number rather than a proposal.

When the terms are good enough, we open a deal with a published price ladder. As members commit, the price falls for everybody, including whoever committed first.

What we are careful about

Legal publishing has an edition problem: the right book bought at the wrong moment is the wrong book. We record editions, ISBNs and publication years, and we say so where an edition has been superseded.

It also has a pricing problem: printed prices, trade discounts and scheme copies are quoted in ways that are hard to compare. We keep evidence for every reference price we claim a saving against, and we keep the supplier terms behind every deal in versions that can be read back years later.
