Test paymentsNo money is charged and no reservation here is a real order

Interest is free. Commitment requires payment. Collective commitment unlocks better prices.

How it works

Legal professionals commit together, and the price falls for everyone

A publisher will price differently for four hundred confirmed buyers than for one. That difference is the entire product. LexPerks collects the commitment, proves it is real, and negotiates against it — then passes the result back to the people who made it possible.

Three states, and only one of them moves a price

This is the part that is unlike a discount site, so it is worth reading slowly.

  1. 1Free

    Interest

Follow a deal and you will be told when it moves — a tier unlocks, the deadline approaches, the deal closes. Following costs nothing and asks for no card.

Interest never counts toward a tier. Not once, not partially. A platform that let free follows move a price would be inventing demand, and every number on the site would stop meaning anything.

  2. 2Token

    Paid reservation

Pay a token to hold your place. Your reservation is confirmed only after the payment is verified — not when the form submits.

This is the only thing that counts toward a tier. It is also the only honest signal we can take to a publisher: people who have paid something are a different fact from people who clicked.

  3. 3Close

    Final confirmed order

When the deal closes the final price locks at the best tier the group reached. Your token is deducted from what you owe, and the balance is what remains.

The token is part of the price, never on top of it. If the deal does not close, the token comes back.

A worked example

The whole ladder is published before you pay

Every tier — the quantity that unlocks it and the price at that tier — is visible on the deal page from the moment it opens. Nothing is revealed later, and a price can only ever move down.

In this example the group has passed fifty paid reservations, so the price is ₹2,750. Thirty-eight more reservations take everybody to ₹2,500 — including the people who reserved on the first day at ₹3,250.

Best Unlocked Price Protection

An early reserver can never end up worse off than the group. If a better tier unlocks after you commit, you get it automatically — you are never asked to claim it, and there is no window in which you have to notice.

Reserving early is how a deal reaches the next tier. Charging those people more for it would be an odd way to run a group.

Figures chosen for arithmetic. Real deals are on the marketplace.

What has to be true before a deal opens

A discount is a claim about a price, and a claim is only worth what stands behind it.

The reference price is evidence, not a number we typed

Every saving is measured against a verified MRP for that exact edition, recorded before the deal opens with its source, its date and its expiry. Two different people are required: whoever records a price cannot be the person who confirms it. Lapsed evidence cannot support a claim, and a deal relying on it will not open.

A group deal has to clear a minimum saving

Before it can open, a group deal's first tier has to clear a floor set against the verified MRP. It is enforced rather than intended — a deal below it cannot be created, cannot be published, and is refused by the database itself. The override that exists for internal margin decisions cannot reach beneath it.

The edition is checked

Edition, year and ISBN are verified before publication. In legal publishing an older edition at a better price is not a better deal — it is the wrong book, and nobody discovers that until they cite it.

Delivery is part of the number

Where delivery is charged we show the saving after delivery as well as before it. A discount that a courier charge substantially erodes is not the saving it looks like, and we would rather say so than let you find out at checkout.

The part most platforms leave out

What happens if a deal does not reach its target

Sometimes it will not. A title does not find its group, or the publisher cannot hold the price, or not enough people commit before the deadline.

In that case the deal does not close, no order is created, and every token is refunded in full — to the method you paid with, without you having to ask for it. You are told what happened and why.

The deadline on a deal page is real. It is not a countdown that resets when nobody is looking.
