How your payment is handled

Payments are taken through a payment gateway. Card numbers, UPI credentials and bank details are entered on the gateway's own page and are never stored by LexPerks.

Every movement of money is written to an append-only ledger. A row, once written, cannot be edited or deleted — that is enforced by the database itself rather than by convention. A correction is a new entry that references the original, so the history of what happened to your money survives the correction.

All amounts are held as whole paise. Nothing on this platform stores money as a decimal that can drift.

Your reservation moves to confirmed only when the gateway's own confirmation has been received and its signature verified. If that confirmation never arrives, no reservation is created — and if money left your account in the meantime, it is returned.
