How a group deal works
Last updated 25 August 2026
A group deal opens with a published ladder: every tier, the number of paid reservations that unlocks it, and the price at that tier. All of it is visible before you pay anything.
As paid reservations arrive, the group climbs the ladder and the price steps down. A price on a group deal can only ever move down — a later tier is never worse than an earlier one.
When the deal closes, the final price is the best tier the group reached. Everybody who reserved pays that price, whenever they reserved.
There are three states, and only one of them moves a price:
Interest is free. Follow a deal and we will tell you when something happens to it. Following never counts toward a tier.
A paid reservation is a commitment. It is the only thing that counts toward a tier, and it is confirmed only after the payment is verified.
A confirmed order is what a reservation becomes when the deal closes. The token you paid is deducted from the total, and the balance is what remains.
