Best Unlocked Price Protection

Last updated 25 August 2026

If the group unlocks a better price after you have reserved, you get that price. Automatically, without claiming it, and without any window in which you have to notice.

Here is the arithmetic. Suppose you reserve on the first day at ₹3,250. Over the following fortnight the group passes twenty-five reservations, then fifty, and the price steps down to ₹2,750. When the deal closes you pay ₹2,750 — the same as somebody who reserved on the last day.

You are never worse off for having committed early. That is the whole point: reserving early is how a deal reaches the next tier at all, and charging the people who made it happen more than the people who arrived afterwards would be an odd way to run a group.

The protection works in one direction only, because prices on a group deal only move in one direction. A tier ladder in which a later tier costs more than an earlier one cannot be created — the database refuses it.

What protection does not do is guarantee a particular price. It guarantees you the best price the group actually unlocked. If the group reaches fifty reservations and not one hundred, the price is the fifty-reservation price, for everybody.
